Young Dubliners

After thirty years as a leading Celtic Rock band, The Young Dubliners are embarking on their tenth studio album with longtime producer Tim Boland, all while maintaining a demanding tour schedule. The band—Keith Roberts (vocals/guitar), Chas Waltz (Violin/keys/vocals), Justin Pecot (guitar/vocals), Dave Ingraham (drums), and Ethan Jones (bass)—has returned to the road post-pandemic with renewed energy. They are committed to bringing their unique fusion of Celtic and rock music to audiences worldwide, reminding everyone "how important a good gig can be to our sanity."

For this new album, The Young Dubliners are taking a different approach to funding, opting to involve their fans directly rather than a traditional record label. As Keith Roberts explains, "The business has changed so much over our lifetime that it no longer makes sense for us to take money from a label and then owe it all back. Making all our supporters co-producers is a far more rewarding way to make a record and allows us to maintain control all the way."

Having released nine albums previously, The Young Dubliners have a notable history, including appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live, songs featured in TV shows like Sons of Anarchy, and extensive tours opening for diverse artists from Collective Soul to Jethro Tull. While often labeled "Celtic Rock," their sound is a rich hybrid. Despite Keith Roberts' Irish roots, the band's musical influences are broad, reflecting the varied backgrounds of its members and ensuring a dynamic, evolving sound where "the Celtic riffs can just as easily come from the American band members."
